What is the difference between pmlc and sdlc
The Proj Mgmt processes takes into consideration all aspects of the project. A lot of novices tend to confuse the two and create a project plan with the Proj Mgmt processes instead if the phases of the product development.
A seasoned PM will know how to relate the two. During project initiation you are scoping at a high level, the project and getting the green light to proceed. During planning, your requirements are gathered. During execution, you are working the plan, i. Then you have closing, which is self explanatory. You are getting the official acceptance from the customer and closing out the project.

But in all practicality the SDLC ends. There could be post production support but for our context we could view it as either a separate project or you could close the project at the end of the support or warranty period. If we manage scope creep effectively and are consistent in our ability to repeat and improve our processes, not only will we deliver a product on time, there may even be enough wiggle room in the schedule to address lower priority items or deliver the product ahead of the due date.
